Although admission is free, the National Naval Aviation Museum is actually on the Pensacola Naval Base, so you will need to be prepared for the officials as you enter.
Watch the Blue Angels Practice
Pensacola is the official home base of the Blue Angels. Practices are open to the public with free admission! Just call ahead to check their schedule. They only practice on specific days and times.
Plan to Be There for Several Hours
There's a lot to see here and plenty of interactive stuff for the kids. So be sure to plan on having enough time to enjoy it. Want to have lunch? No worries, they have a café.
Check Out the Giftshop...Carefully
Admission may be free, but I am pretty sure they make up for it with their gift shop. This museum gift shop is pretty cool! They have lots of neat shirts/gear for adults and the section for kids has plenty of toys, t-shirts, and pilot outfits your kids will be begging to take home. Not gonna lie...if my husband wasn't there, we would've left with a lot more.
